The Organisations’ Secretariat is an Administrative Management Unit and is part of the Management Support Office.
In general terms, the Faculty Bodies Secretariat is responsible for assisting the Director and the Executive Director in the management of FDUL, carrying out the activities necessary to instruct the exercise of their competences, as well as providing support for the activity of FDUL’s collegiate bodies, preparing the respective meetings and collaborating in the execution of the respective deliberations.

The HRA is the administrative management unit responsible for administering FDUL’s human resources.
It carries out the actions necessary for the administrative management of the labour relationship of its employees, regardless of the type of contract or career, ranging from the hiring process through performance evaluation to the processing of salaries and other legal obligations.

The Library is the administrative, technical-scientific and management unit with the task of developing functions to support and encourage research and knowledge in the field of related legal sciences through the processing, dissemination and availability of information resources.
The Library also performs functions within the scope of the Historical Archive, namely by carrying out tasks that promote its processing and dissemination.
The Library is made up of the Librarianship Centre (NB), the Information Reference Centre (NRI) and the Dissemination Centre (ND).

The Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Centre is a technical-scientific administrative unit of the Faculty dedicated to alternative means of resolving disputes, especially arbitration and mediation. Its justification lies first and foremost in one of the functions of the Law – the resolution of social conflicts – and in the importance that alternative means of resolving disputes have assumed in realising this function.

The Legal Consultancy Office therefore carries out an exclusively advisory and training activity which, through external initiatives, can cover the entire spectrum of legal science. By taking advantage of the highly qualified teaching staff at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and the value of the multidisciplinary teams that can be created in this way, the Legal Consultancy Office can provide the community with services of excellence, also helping to bring the scientific research carried out in academia closer to the reality of the legal activity carried out in society.
