WHAT IT CONSISTS OF

The New Master’s Study Cycle in European Legal Practice aims to link the deepening of at least two languages at a scientific level with the ability to work in different legal systems, with the aim of creating international legal experts. It consists of a specialisation course, lasting three semesters, and the preparation phase of the master’s dissertation, lasting one semester, for a total of 120 credits (ECTS).

This master’s degree was created under the Erasmus Mundus programme by the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (Portugal), Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany), University of Rouen (France) and Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius (Lithuania). This master’s degree is the result of a traditional cooperation model, called ELPIS, which involves 35 law faculties in almost all the Member States of the European Union (EU) and countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), dating back to 1985. These four universities make up the consortium that awards the master’s degree.
