Excellence and advanced scientific research

Portuguese and foreign Ph.D. holders may apply for numerous postdoctoral courses, in all the fields of legal expertise, which are conducted under the supervision of a Ph.D. Professor of the University of Lisbon School of Law. The postdoctoral programmes are based on a proposal submitted by each candidate to the Scientific Board – which is responsible for approving it – and have a minimum duration of 6 months, requiring the delivery of a written scientific paper. The methodology of the courses includes the participation and organisation of lectures and seminars, public presentations of advanced scientific research, as well as the intervention in classes of different study cycles.
