Evaluation

The evaluation refers exclusively to each student.

In each subject, the lecturer may adopt one or more of the following methods of knowledge evaluation:
a) Final written exam;
b) Final written paper;;
c) Final oral exam;
d) Continuous evaluation.
If the lecturer does not inform students otherwise at the beginning of the programme, the evaluation shall be carried out by means of a final written exam. Students who obtain a final grade between 7 and 9 are admitted to an oral test, to take place during the examination period of the curriculum unit.

Approval in the specialization programme requires passing all the curriculum units with a grade equal to or higher than 10.

Approval in each course of the Specialization Programme requires attendance of at least half the classes taught.

According to the picture below, preferably the evaluation includes a final written exam. Students who obtain a final grade between 7 and 9 are admitted to an oral test, to take place during the examination period of the curriculum unit. Students who obtain a failing grade in any curriculum unit or who wish to improve their score may do so during the resit examination period, which shall take place in July of the academic year being attended.

The grades or scores are published on the Online Resources, using the username and password with the account Campus@UL; students can only check their grades or scores there.

The final score of the study cycle leading to the Master’s degree is awarded by the jury appointed to evaluate and discuss the thesis, expressed by the formula Pass or Fail. Approved students are given scores between 10-20 from a range of 0 to 20.
